Police chalk out contingency plan during LG elections in Dera

All security arrangements have been finalized to conduct free, transparent Local Governments’ elections to be held on December 19, 2021.
The department of police in line with its contingency plan divided the district into 17 sectors and nine circles headed by the senior police e officials of the department, said the spokesman on Wednesday.
Two Superintendents and nine DSPs (Deputy Superintendents) backed by the station headquarter officers will supervise the mechanism chalked out for ensuring law and order situation of the district.
263 of the 777 polling stations throughout the district have been declared sensitive most whereas 314 are sensitive only and the rest on 200 polling stations are normal.
296 polling stations to facilitate 3,33,671 registered voters including 1,52,600 women in exercising their right of vote in Dera Ismail Khan Thesil.
Similarly, 190 polling stations including male and female and combine have been set up in Paharpur Tehsil and 2,02,370 voters will use their right of vote. 59 polling stations combined and separate for 66,815 female and male voters are set up in Tehsil Kulachi.
Over nine thousand 900 police officials backed coupled with bomb disposal squads and intelligence agencies.
According to sources, the numbers of male and female voters will exercise their right of franchise in 73 polling stations in Daraban Tehsil, 123 polling stations have been established in Parova Tehsil where 71,492 male and 57793 female voters will use their right of vote. 36 polling stations have been set up in Darazinda Tehsil for 20,300 male and 15365 women voters.
The police force according to some other sources will be backed by the Pakistan Army personnel so as to ensure free, transparent and fair polls across the district.
District Police Officer Captain ® Najmul Hasnain has urged the jawans to keep vigilance and ensure better output in line of duty and avoid partiality with any party and individual.
