Khaliq-ur-Rehman for intelligence based operations against drug pushers

Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control called for expanding the scope of intelligence-based operations against drugs and clearing educational institutions, in particular, of the scourge of drugs.
He expressed these views during a high level meeting here on Tuesday.
Adviser Excise and Secretary Excise welcomed the newly appointed Director General Excise Mahmood Aslam Wazir in the department and presented a bouquet of flowers.
According to details, a high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control at the Directorate General of Excise.
During the meeting, the revenue recovery and performance of all Excise District Offices and Regional Offices for five months from July to November 22-2021 was reviewed in detail.
The meeting commended the performance of the directors and ETOs for their good performance and directed others to improve their revenue recovery and meet the target.
In addition, the performance of the Excise Department in the anti-drug campaign was reviewed.
The excise adviser on the occasion issued orders to provide all kinds of facilities related to the excise department to the taxpayers, vehicle owners and the public.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the illegal vehicles seized and their legal process.
During the meeting detailed discussions were held on ongoing reforms in the department, online token tax, improvement in vehicle registration system, vehicle number plates, GIS based system for property tax etc.
The Excise Adviser on the occasion issued instructions to expedite the work on reforms to enhance the efficiency and efficiency of the department and also issued instructions to the DG Excise for better monitoring of the performance of the department.
On this occasion, the Excise and Taxation Officers of the District Offices apprised the Excise Adviser about the administrative problems faced in their respective offices, on which the Excise Adviser issued orders to resolve all the administrative issues immediately.
