Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sent notices to principal secretary to the Prime Minister (PM) Chairman NAB and DG NAB Lahore on a petition filed against the appointment of DG NAB Lahore besides summoning reply from them till February 03.
A single bench of IHC led by Justice Babar Sattar took up for hearing petition filed against the appointment of DG NAB Lahore Jamil Ahmad.
The defence counsel told the court during the hearing of the case chairman NAB appointed DG NAB Lahore on contract for one year. Supreme Court had given clear orders about appointments in NAB.
The court remarked SC had not nullified the service rules of NAB.
The defence counsel said advertising the post is must in connection with appointment as per rules. The candidate who succeeds in examination can be appointed.
The court while issuing notices to respondents sought reply till February 03.
