Karachi: Eleven members of a family were tested Omicron positive which resulted in their self-quarantine at their home in Karachi. According to media report, 11 members including three women and three men belonging to the same family had contracted Omicron variant Covid-19 in Karachi’s District East. ONLINE
All the people have now been quarantined at their homes while authorities have also collected samples from the people who came into their contact to prevent their further spread of the virus. The infected coronavirus patients are aged between 26 to 77 years old. So far 44 omicrons cases have been detected in the port city of Karachi.
Magnitude 5.8 earthquake strikes major cities in KP
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 has jolted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) cities of Swat, Mingora, and Lower Dir, and their adjoining areas, media reported on Friday. The frequent earthquakes striking the region frightened the people who came out of their houses in panic. The tremors which jolted Swat and Mingora were strong than those which hit lower Dir. On Tuesday last, twin earthquakes struck Gilgit Baltistan within eight minutes of each other injuring a few people. There were reports of some damage in the Rondhu area of Gilgit Baltistan. A woman and a security guard were also injured in the quakes. ONLINE
