The Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat on Wednesday visited all sectors of the provincial capital to review the traffic management.
Abbas Majeed Marwat appreciated traffic police personnel for keeping the roads clear and present at their points during the rains.
During the visit, Abbas Majeed reviewed the traffic flow and the improvements made by the City Traffic Police Peshawar.
Mr Abbas reviewed the ongoing campaigns against seat belts and driving without helmets, use of tinted windows and action against unregistered vehicles and directed the authorities to continue the ongoing campaigns.
The city traffic police in Peshawar will ensure the implementation of traffic rules in all cases he added.
The Chief Traffic Officer directed the authorities to take stern action against the violators of the no parking zones and ensure parking in the plazas in all cases so that the citizens do not park their vehicles on the side of the road.
Mr Abbas has said that all capabilities should be utilized to improve the uninterrupted flow of traffic and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
He said that the staff of city traffic police should continue to be aware of the need to enforce traffic rules and eliminate encroachments throughout the city as better results are emerging.
The business community should co-operate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachments from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic he added.
