Imran Khan assumed charge of the District Police Officer (DPO) of Khyber tribal district here on Friday. He took the charge at a ceremony attended by senior officials of the district administration, police department, tribal elders, and political and social activists.
On the occasion, Mr Imran said he was proud to be the DPO of a beautiful tribal district like Khyber. He said ensuring safety and security of public, maintaining peace and improving the police image in the region was his top priorities.
He vowed to make all out efforts to rid the tribal district of criminal elements.
I will do my best to meet all the requirements including the infrastructure of Khyber Police, he added.
