SHIKARPUR: In the ongoing crackdown on drug dealers on the instructions of Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Shikarpur Excise Police led by Excise and Taxation Officer Rahim Bakhsh Sanjrani searched the suspicious truck number E-2822 and recovered 22 kg chars. An accused Ghulam Shabir resident of Dera Ismail Khan was also arrested. The accused was going to Karachi with chars. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started while the truck used in smuggling has also been impounded. Meanwhile in a statement, congratulating on the successful operation, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Department & Parliamentary Affairs and Food Mukesh Kumar Chawla expressed hope that the officers would continue their crackdown on drug dealers with the same diligence and dedication.
