PESHAWAR
For provision of free treatment facilities to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, State Life Insurance Company (SLIC) and Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute Lahore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), said an official handout issued here on Saturday.
Under the MoU, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will get free kidney and liver transplant facility at Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute Lahore.
This free liver and kidney transplant facility will be provided to the patients of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Sehat Card Plus Scheme.
It merits a mention here that huge expenses of Rs. 5.00 million per patient on liver transplant and Rs. 1.4 million per patient on kidney transplant would be borne by provincial government under the Sehat Card Plus Scheme.
