Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar while approving the recommendation of investigation committee regarding Murree incident also nodded yes to the recommendations of making Murree a separate district.
Usman Buzdar has directed the concerned departments to take action in the light of recommendations.
According to media report, CM Usman Buzdar approved the recommendation of making Murree a separate district; however Murree will be granted the new status after the local bodies’ elections and after the next financial year starts.
Establishment of a Meteorology Department office in Murree has also been approved by the Chief Minister.
