The City traffic police has launched an awareness campaign in the provincial capital to make driving safer, maintain traffic flow and enforce traffic rules, violated new parking, use of substandard gas cylinders, unlicensed rickshaws and rickshaws, unlicensed taxi vehicles from January 1.
A total of 32051 persons have been fined for driving without license, non-use of helmet and over speeding, said statement issued by the City Traffic Police. The chief of the traffic police has said that road user should follow the rules and avoid over speeding .
Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has conducting special awareness campaign on traffic rules in all sectors of Peshawar city along with awareness campaign and use of substandard gas cylinders to violate traffic rules.
He said that citizens should use seat belts while driving as well as motorcyclists should use helmets. He said that they should respect traffic rules.
The Chief Traffic Officer further said that while maintaining lane line discipline, avoid over speeding.
