Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said Wednesday that provision of Sehat Cards for residents of federal capital Islamabad was a ‘revolutionary step for provision of health insurance’
“Great day for residents of Islamabad, with the launch of Sehat cards in the capital city” he announced in a tweet on Wednesday.
“Rs. 1 million per annum free coverage for every family for hospitalization, surgical procedures, expensive tests etc. A truly revolutionary provision of free health insurance” Asad Umar further wrote in the tweet.
According to details, permanent residents of Islamabad according to National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) database would get health insurance of up to 1 million rupees per family.
