Prosecution body lauds reforms in civil and criminal procedure

Strengthen criminal justice system
PESHAWAR
The president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prosecution Officers Welfare Association Zafar Abbas Mirza lauded the federal government process to reform the civil and criminal procedure.
Addressing an event organized by the general body of the association, Zafar Abbas Mirza, the amendments in the criminal justice system would modernize the criminal justice system and provide timely justice to the people.
Secretary Home Khushal Khan, Director General Prosecution Mukhtiar Ahmed and Director Administration Atiqur Rehman also attended the event.
He also appreciated the special interest and added that the establishment of the Prosecutor General’s Office would enable the implementation of a uniform criminal justice system throughout Pakistan.
The establishment of the Prosecutor General’s Office in KP would further strengthen the criminal justice system, he added.
The meeting was attended by General Secretary Sangeen Shah, Senior Vice President Khalid Afridi, Vice President Amjad Ali, Press Secretary Zulfiqar Ali, Joint Secretary Asif Zeb, Finance Secretary Iftikhar Ahmed, Cabinet Members Zohaib Ahmed Sher, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Mudassar.
