Haleem Adil condemns harassment, violence against student

Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, condemned harassment and violence against a student of Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences Nawabshah and demanded immediate arrest of university employees involved in the act of harassment.
Haleem Adil Sheikh in a statement issued here on Thursday said that another case of harassment of a medical university student Dr. Perveen Rind surfaced the other day who was first asked for having illicit relations with a senior university official and on her refusal she was tortured.
The sad incident took place when the issue of abduction and alleged molestation of two girls in Naukot was still afresh in minds and their medical examination reports were also maneuvered in government patronage, he bemoaned.
“Dr. Parveen yesterday said that daughters in Sindh do not commit suicide but first they were killed and then hanged,” Haleem Adil said adding that it has been clear now that Naila Rind, Noshin Shah and Nimrata Kumari had not committed suicide.
Haleem Adil Sheikh said that Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho was there in Nawabshah on the day but she did not take any action in the regard as officers posted on important positions in Sindh were enjoying patronage of Asif Zardari and the PPP Sindh government.
The opposition leader said “I want to tell the oppressed daughters of Sindh that if Bilawal was Bhutto, he would have helped you but he is a Zardari who is only concerned about where the wealth is coming from.
The PTI leader stressed on people of Sindh to watch out the situation and open their eyes as the people they have been politically supporting are disgracing our daughters today.
Haleem Adil Sheikh assured his all out support to victims of harassment and said that culprits involved in the heinous crime will not be let free and will be brought to justice.
