Federal Minister for Privatisation Muhammad Mian Soomro has instructed for removing obstacles in the privatisation of Services International Hotel (SIH).
The privatisation minister said this while co-chairing a meeting along with Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja at the Civil Secretariat on Thursday, which reviewed the sale of Services International Hotel.
Soomro said that the privatisation policy of the federal government is very clear and all privatisation issues must be resolved at the earliest.
All stakeholders were consulted on the sale deed with the hotel buyer company during the meeting. In addition, the transfer of 15 kanals of government land along the canal at Mouza Malikpur Mananwala in Faisalabad was considered. Other privatisation issues were also discussed during the meeting.
On the occasion, Basharat Raja said that the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation should settle the legal issues of sale of the hotel as soon as possible. He said that implementation of the agreement with the hotel buying company would be ensured.
