Opposition has worked out requisition to summon National Assembly (NA) and during requisition meeting opposition will decide about tabling no confidence motion against the Prime Minister (PM) and speaker NA Asad Qaisar.
Opposition sources told Online Wednesday no confidence motion carries the signatures of over 100 members of assembly. This motion will be filed in NA secretariat as soon as the green signal from opposition leader in NA Shahbaz Sharif is received.
The poor performance of the government and growing inflation will be made part of this motion as agenda. Demand will be made for holding debate on this motion.
Sources said plan of opposition is this no confidence motion will be presented during this movement. There are no restrictions in the rules and regulations of the NA or constitution that vote of no confidence can not be tabled during requisitioned session.
Sources said opposition is pursuing the policy of mounting the pressure on government step by step and due to this reason requisition has been worked out for summoning NA. As soon as requisition is filed Speaker NA will be bound to summon NA session within 14 days.
