PPP Rawalpindi-Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan chapters have strongly condemned arrest of Online and Daily Jinnah Editor in Chief Mohsin Baig.
In a joint statement on Thursday, they said the government has been addicted to power and in order to attain it using cheep tactics. They said Mohsin Baig not only raised head as leader of journalists but the common public as well.
A delegation of PPP leaders called on Online and Daily Jinnah Group Editor Shamshad Mangat at his office in Islamabad and assured their support to the workers.
Haji Yousaf of PPP said that the government has to take the PECA Ordinance back, adding that due to such oppressive measures the PPP leader has decided to launch Long March.
He said the Long March will reach in Rawalpindi on March 7 that will lead to the collapse of the PTI government.
Sher Akbar Khan, Fazal Karim, Malak Haq Nawaz, Yawar Abbas, Burhan Khan and Hussain of PPP were part of the delegation.
