By Adam Khan Wazir Assistant Commissioner Wana Basheer Khan and Additional Assistant Commissioner Dr. Sadiq Ali in South Waziristan have launched a major operation against substandard petrol pumps, illegal crushing plants and ice factories in Wana Bazaar and its suburbs.
Assistant Commissioner Wana Bashir Khan along with the Additional Assistant Commissioner sealed 11 petrol pumps on low scale and over receipt of fixed price and arrested their owners and managers.
Illegal crushing plants and ice factories were also sealed and their owners arrested. Riders were also refunded more than the driver of many vehicles for higher fares.
Assistant Commissioner Wana basheer Khan directed the owners of passenger vehicles to collect the fare from the passengers as per the fixed fare.
In this regard, Assistant Commissioner Wana Basheer Khan further said that these operations will continue for the public interest and no leniency will be shown to anyone.
He said that the district administration would do its utmost to ensure the provision of all possible facilities to the people as per the directions of DC South Waziristan Tribal District Amjad Meraj.
