The meetings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Population Welfare chaired by Nighat
Yasmin Orakzai Thursday expressed reservations over indifference of population welfare department for not providing the sought record and documents.
The meeting was attended by MPAs including Sitara Afrin, Baseerat Khan, Humaira Khatoon, Shahida Waheed, Faisal Zaman, Naeema Kishwar besides Secretary Population Welfare, Gender Specialist and Assistant Advocate General.
Expressing reservation over not furnishing of required documents, Nighat Orakzai reconvened meeting of the committee on April 1 and directed Chairperson Woman Commission to attend.
She also sought list of women rights committees and details of their members in next meeting
of the committee for discussion. She also appreciated role of women for establishing a prosperous society and said that voice would be raised for their rights at every available forum.
The meeting also prayed for the sovereignty and prosperity of the country on Youme- Pakistan.
