Opposition has submitted no confidence resolution against Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar in Punjab Assembly (PA).
No confidence motion has been filed by PPP parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza and PML-N members of PA including Rana Mashhud, Sami Ullah Khan, Mian Naseer and others.
The no confidence resolution bears the signature of 126 members of Punjab Assembly from PML-N and PPP. The requisition carries the signatures of 119 MPAs.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been informed about no confidence motion. Pervez Elahi said that legal procedure and assembly rules will be fully adhered to in this regard. Action on no confidence motion will be taken as per law. Now CM Punjab Usman Buzdar can not dissolve Punjab assembly after the no confidence resolution has been filed.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi is bound to summon assembly session within 14 days.
