LAHORE: PML-Q leader and Punjab Assembly (PA) speaker Pervez Elahi has decided not to resign from the slot of speaker PA as he will not tender resignation due to fast changing political situation in the country. He will seek vote of confidence from the house while staying as speaker and he will resign from the slot of speaker PA after obtaining vote of confidence. Sources said if he fails to seek vote of confidence from house then he will continue to function as speaker. Under the constitution the vote of confidence can be obtained staying as speaker.
