PESHAWAR
The meeting of Board of Governor (BoG) Medical Teaching Institute (MTI) Bacha Khan Medical College (BKMC) on Friday approved establishing of a nursing college and hostel for medical students.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman BoG , Muhammad Salahudin Qasim and attended by Dean GKMC, Prof. Dr. Shams-Ur-Rahman besides members including Dr. Arshad Hussain, Dr. Iqbal Bagum, Dr. Tufail Mohammad Khan, Mr. Mian Unwan-Ud-din and Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad Khan.
The meeting was briefed about construction of a separate building for Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC), Proposal of Nursing College, Hostels, New Emergency, Burn and Trauma Center and under construction Operation Theater. Participants of meeting were told that specialist doctors have been recruited in various specialties due to which Institution Based Practice would be strengthened.
Chairman BoG also visited advanced skill Lab established in GKMC-MTI, newly constructed emergency, burn and trauma center and operation theater. He expressed satisfaction over the pace of work on underdeveloped projects and directed steps for timely completion.
The board also gave approval of establishing blood bank, pharmacy and dental units in BKMC-MTI and MTI THQ Chota Lahor and Topi.
