HARIPUR
Akhtar Bilal and Inam Ullah of Peshawar clinched the Mr. and Junior Mr. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa titles while Emmad Khan of Charsadda bagged Men’s Physical title in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Bodybuilding Contests held at Haripur Sports Complex under the aegis of District Administration and Regional Sports Officer Hazara Region on Wednesday.
The musclemen of Peshawar bagged the highest number of titles in provincial bodybuilding contests wherein Akhtar Bilal of Peshawar, Mr. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inamullah and Hamza Khan Junior Mr. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Hanzala Junior Mr. Peshawar while Emmad Khan of Charsadda won the Men’s Physical title.
Regional Sports Officer Ahmad Zaman, officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Hazara Bodybuilding Associations, Chairman Organizing Committee Safeer Ahmed and Organizing Secretary President Hazara Bodybuilding Association Wasim Khan were present in these competitions.
General Secretary Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Tariq Pervez, Associate Secretary KP Hidayat Khalil, Associate Secretary and Member Executive Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Haider Ali Khan, Secretary, Peshawar and former Mr. Pakistan Yasin Khan, National Champion and Mr. Olympia and Secretary Hazara Safeer Ahmed conducted the competitions.
Former Federal Minister Umar Ayub was the chief guest who distributed prizes among the athletes. In his address, he said that for the first time in history, provincial level bodybuilding competitions were organized in Haripur which would promote the sport and the youth of the area would be attracted towards this sport.
The Building Association paid tribute to Sohail bin Qayyum and Secretary Tariq Pervez and also congratulated President Hazara Division Wasim Khan and Secretary Safeer Ahmed and hoped that such competitions would continue in future also.
District Sports Officer Haripur Ahmad Zaman and other personalities were also present on the occasion. In the Junior category, Hanzala of Peshawar bagged the first position, Naveed Khan got silver medal and Mohsin took bronze medal respectively.
In the over 75kg class, Mohammad Adnan of Peshawar won first position, Mohammad Haroon of Peshawar won second position, Mohammad Abbas of Mardan and Mohammad Jamal of Hazara won bronze medal.
In over 80kg class, Inamullah of Swat came first, Saifullah of Peshawar came second and Muhammad Irshad of Dera Ismail Khan came third. Mustafa of Peshawar and Shehab of Hazara won silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Mr. KP Peshawar’s 65 kg class, Afzal of Peshawar won first, Shiraz second and Salman third. In the 75kg class, Kamal Ahmed of Peshawar came first, Shahid second, Hazara’s Usman Khan and Mazhar Khan third and fourth respectively. In the 80kg class, Peshawar’s Inayat came first, Zeeshan second and Swat’s Bahram Khan third.
