Treasury members attack deputy speaker PA Dost Mazari

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and coalition parties candidate Hamza Shahbaz has been elected as 21st Chief Minister of the Punjab by garnering 197 votes, while his contestant Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Parvez Elahi unable to get any vote.
Punjab Assembly session held for Chief Minister Election was full of ruckus, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) staged a walk out of the provincial assembly after Pervaiz Elahi got injured during the commotion.
Protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) lawmakers attacked Deputy Speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari and chanted slogans “Lota lota” (turncoat), also thrown plastic lotas on him as he started the session.
Deputy Speaker Mazari was determined that he would conduct the election of Chief Minister and not come under the pressure of protesting lawmakers.
After his election as Chief Minister Punjab, PML (N) leader Hamza Shahbaz vowed to address the hardships of down trodden peoples of the province, he assured to activate the price control committees and Punjab Food Authority.
He also promised to get repaired the nonfunctional dialysis machines in different hospitals of Punjab to address the kidney dialysis patients hardships.
Meanwhile, treasury members attacked deputy speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari during the assembly session summoned in connection with election of CM Punjab Saturday. Sources said the treasury members Rana Shahbaz and Khayal Muhammad Kastro were the first among the members who attacked deputy speaker.
The treasury members while subjecting deputy speaker to violence pulled his hair, slapped him and hit him with lota. Meanwhile the other treasury members climbed on the dais while chanting slogans against the deputy speaker.
The treasury members broke the chairs and mike of deputy speaker. Khayal Kastro occupied the speaker chair.
Punjab Assembly security continued stopping the treasury members from creating ruckus who did not stop. Police was called in the house. Police took deputy speaker Punjab Assembly out from the assembly.
Reacting to entry of police in the house, ruling coalition candidate for CM Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said police is who to enter into the house. I will award punishment of one month to IG Police. I will summon IG Police Punjab in the house.
Some members from combined opposition said police is called when one faces life threat. Had Pervez Elahi so much democratic then he could move forward and stop the entire situation.
The opposition members said treasury members followed the pre-conceived plan after seeing their defeat. The deputy speaker PA had to suspend the proceedings of PA due to this situation.
