ANP decides not to become part of federal government

Asfandyar Wali Khan, the leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), has refused to join the federal cabinet, adding that becoming part of the cabinet would create problems among political parties.
Sources said that initially it was decided that ANP only MNA Amir Haider Khan Hoti was proposed for higher education but later on the party excused from joining the cabinet.
It has been learned that the ANP has been promised the governorship of KP as well as a ministry by the new administration.
The ANP president, Asfandyar Wali Khan, prevented the party’s leaders from adopting the PML-N government’s proposal. PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asfandyar Wali Khan said in a statement that he is grateful for the invitation to form a coalition government from the two parties.
It is pertinent to mention here that so far 31 ministers have taken oath as part of federal cabinet.
The federal cabinet composed of 31 federal ministers, three ministers of state and three advisers. However, the cabinet may be expanded anytime in future and ANP might join it said party insiders.
According to notification Minister for Information portfolio has been given to Marriyum Aurangzeb ,Minister for Planning and Development to Ahsan Iqbal , Rana Sanaullah was made interior minister, Minister for Finance and Revenue portfolio given to Miftah Ismail, Minister for Law and Justice to Azam Nazeer Tarar Minister for Narcotics Control has been given to Nawabzada Shazain Bugti.
Similarly, Minister of Religious Affairs was given to Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for States and Frontier Regions seat has been given to Muhammad Talha Mahmood, Minister for Communication given to Asad Mahmood, Minister for Food and Security was given to Tariq Basheer Cheema Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque , Minister for Industries awarded to Syed Murtaza Mahmud, Minister for Defence Production named Muhammad Israr Tareen Minister for Railways — Khawaja Saad Rafique, Murtaza Javed Abbasi has been named as Minister for Parliamentary Affairs .
