An MoU has been signed between KFUEIT and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia.
Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir and Dr. Muhammad Ayub signed the MoU. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir said that agreements have been signed with various national and international universities to provide better opportunities to the students. During the ceremony Registrar Dr. Muhammad Sagir, Dr Yasir Niaz and others were also present.
Before the MoU signing Ceremony Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology hosted a seminar on “Green Energy for Future Fueling”. The seminar was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Muhammad Ayub from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia addressed the seminar as a guest speaker.
He gave a detailed lecture on the use of biodiesel, hydrogen and other green sources for obtaining fuel. He said that biodiesel could meet the energy needs of the future.
He said that Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries are working on these projects. He said that natural resources could also be utilized in Pakistan. Work is being done in this regard in Karachi but much remains to be done.
He Said Trees will be the source of energy, Not only will it be easier and more beneficial to obtain fuel from environmentally friendly sources, but it will also be possible to avoid the harmful effects of environmental pollution by not emitting carbon dioxide and other harmful gases.
During this time he gave satisfactory answers to the questions raised by the students and teachers. He gave a detailed presentation on the modalities of green energy acquisition and also made suggestions for its promotion in Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan’s environment could be conducive to green energy. Plants can be grown here that will help achieve this goal.
After the seminar, an MoU was also signed between Khawaja Farid University and UTP. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir was also present at the signing ceremony of the MoU.
On this occasion, he said that Khawaja Farid University has been taking various steps to benefit from the experiences and research of foreign universities. He said that the university has so far signed MoUs with various national and international universities. He said that with industry linkages, research and teaching cooperation and collaboration, universities can succeed in creating a better world.
He welcomed Dr. Muhammad Ayub from Malaysia to Khawaja Farid University and expressed his best wishes. Registrar Dr. Saghir Ahmed, Dr. Umeer Azhar, Dr. Naeem Akhtar, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, Dr. Asim Riaz, Dr. Mohammad Babar, Engineer Mohammad Suleiman, Kashif Ashraf, Afaq Hassan, Makhdoom Jawad and others were also present in the seminar.
