–Qasim Suri registers case against PML-N activists

The supporters of Shahzain Bugti, President of Jamhoori Wattan Party (JWP) and Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, allegedly attacked former National Assembly deputy speaker Qasim Suri at a private hotel in Islamabad in retaliation of what happened to Shahzain in Madinah.
The attack came shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his coterie of ministers were catcalled and jeered at allegedly by the supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Masjid-e-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) in Madinah.
Epithets like “chor chor” (thieves), traitors and beggars were hurled at them by the protesters. Meanwhile, on the request of the former Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Qasim Suri, the case has been registered in the Kohsar Police Station over the last night incident.
According to the former Speaker Qasim Suri, he was waiting for sehri sitting at the restaurant at the Kohsar Market. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader also said that there some people came who were against his party, they attacked him. Qasim Suri further stated that the people who attacked them wanted to kill him.
According to Qasim Khan Suri, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) activists and guards of Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Shahzain Bugti carried out attack on him when he along with some guests reached a hotel located at Kohsar Market for Sehri.
However, Qasim Suri remained unhurt in the attack while his friend received minor injury. After the incident, Qasim Suri and his friend shifted to hospital for a medical report.
The SSP operation along with a heavy contingent of police reached the spot after the incident and brought the situation under control.
Upon receiving complain from Qasim Suri, police started collecting evidence with the help of CCTV footage. The SSP operation said that those seen in the footage would be arrested soon. Meanwhile, in his message on the Twitter after the incident Qasim Suri alleged that PML-N goons carried out the attack.
It is to be noted here that the Shehbaz Sharif-led delegation is on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia. The delegation comprises newly sworn-in Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Shahzain Bugti, and other government officials.
Talking to media in Madinah, Marriyum Aurangzeb indirectly blamed Imran Khan and his party workers for the protest at Masjid-e-Nabawi. “I will not name this person on this holy land because I do not want to use this land for politics. But they have destroyed the [Pakistani] society,” she had said.
The protest at Masjid-e-Nabawi drew criticism from the people belonging to all walks of life. People including Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Tariq Jamil, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Hafiz Hamdullah, Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Yousaf, Reham Khan, and others vehemently condemned it.
