Former President of ICCI Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt on Friday said people who buy the most expensive electricity in the region should not be punished by load shedding. He said that the masses should not be penalized but action should be taken against those responsible for the crisis.
Shahid Rasheed Butt said that long load shedding is an injustice to the people fasting in the holy month. He noted that the shortage of diesel is further affecting the devastated agriculture. Storage of fuel and black marketing is also being carried out in different areas against which farmers are also protesting.
The diesel crisis is engulfing the country but concerned departments are relying on positive statements, he said, adding that scarcity of fuel was affecting wheat sowing and cotton cultivation which should be taken seriously by authorities.
