ISLAMABAD
Federal government has announced 90-day Eid-pardon for prisoners across the country on Saturday.
Interior Ministry in his letter has directed Punjab Sindh, KPK Blaochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan’s home departments to add 90-day pardon to the prisoner across country under articl-45 (which empowers President to pardon).
Pardon also includes prisoner of life imprisonment. Letter says that the prisoners who completed one-third of their imprisonment and are over 65 are under 18 will also be included to this pardon.
The pardon policy will not cover convicted people in betrayal, sectarianism and anti-state action prisoner.
Financial fraudulent and people who damaged nation treasure will also not enjoy the Eid-Pardon.
