Pakistani receives “Commonwealth Points of Light Award”

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani social worker Tahira Hassan received “Commonwealth Point of Light Award” on Friday. Tahira Hassan was awarded on welfare work for orphan, homeless and statless children. British High commission said award to Pakistani advocate was given on the bases of his welfare work for orphans homeless and stateless kids. Award is given to the volunteers who bring positive changes in their community, High Commission continues, Tahira Hassan is expert in family and delivery matters. Tahira Hassan founded ‘Amkan welfare’ Organization in 2012 and started work for in Machar colony of Karachi for orphan and homeless kids with establishing the shelter and state leisure centre. Seven centers established in Karachi are the source of settlement for 1 lakh peoples. Online
