ISLAMABAD
A country wide Anti polio drive will be launched from May 23 to 29 in the face of emergence of new polio cases. The health ministry spokesperson said this campaign was restricted to some areas of the country earlier but now it will be run all over the country.
He said government is determined to eliminate the polio. All possible steps will be taken for eradication of polio. An effective and coherent policy has been hammered out to eliminate polio, he said adding government is waging struggle to make Pakistan polio free country. He appealed to the parents to get administer polio drops to their children during the anti polio campaign.
He urged the civil society, media and Ulemas to play the effective role for eradication of polio.
We all will have to work together to make anti polio campaign a success as it is our moral and religious obligation to eliminate polio from the country, he added.
