ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khurshid Shah said Wednesday government has decided to put the electoral reforms up before National Assembly next week. Talking to media here in Islamabad, the federal minister for water resources said next general elections will not be carried out without introducing electoral reforms. “We have to reform our electoral system. Some reforms will be introduced before next budget while some after that,” he added. Syed Khurshid Shah ruled out next general elections before November and said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had sought at least seven months to hold general elections. Criticizing former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shah said PTI chairman and his party were running movement against the state. His government was dismissed through constitutional means, Khurshid Shah maintained. Online
