PESHAWAR
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government will hold its 72nd provincial cabinet meeting at the Civil Secretariat on Thursday with 16 items on its agenda.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Advocate General KP expected to present reports to cabinet for discussion on undue blockage of all roads leading from KP to Punjab and Islamabad in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azadi march.
The cabinet is expected to approve the absorption of Khasadars/ Levies force in KP Police. The nomination of non-official members for KP Wildlife and Bio-Diversity and establishment of community game reserves in districts of Malakand, Hangu and Lakki Marwat are also part of the agendas.
The cabinet will approve a grant-in-Aid for the University of Chitral to manage its financial expenditure.
As per the agenda, the provincial cabinet will also discuss acquisition of land for construction of 100,000 gallons capacity collecting tank pumping station from Indus River for drinking purpose.
The establishment of Biodiversity and Wildlife fund and a report titled Peshawar Air Quality will also be presented in the cabinet meeting by the Secretary Forest.
A water supply scheme for the Mingora city, establishment of a university in Shangla, and availability of government land for the establishment of science museum will also be discussed in the cabinet meeting.
