ANP submits attention notice on forest fire incidents in KP

The Awami National Party (ANP) has submitted a call attention notice to the Provincial Assembly on the multiple forest fire incidents in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
ANP MPA Faisal Zeb Khan submitted the notice said that fire incidents have been reported in Shangla, Swat, Buner, Batgram and other districts during the last three weeks.
He said that in Shangla district, these incidents have caused loss of life and property of people along with forests.
Four members of the same family have been martyred in a forest fire in Shangla district, adding that at the same time, a rescue official has been martyred during the firefighting process, but no significant steps have been taken by the provincial government, which has caused great unrest and anxiety among the people.
The notice further said that strict measures were needed to curb the heinous conspiracies of arson in the forest.
ANP lawmaker demanded that a special committee should be formed to investigate these incidents and an immediate report should be sought from them.
The notice also demanded that a special package be announced for rescue personnel and civilians who were martyred in fire incidents.
