ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi on Sunday congratulated Ahmad Nawaz, a survivor of the notorious Army Public School (APS) Peshawar attack on becoming the President of Oxford Union. It is pertinent to mention here that Oxford Union is the world’s premier debating society. “Our biggest hope are youth of Pakistan. I congratulate Ahmad Nawaz, an APS survivor who also lost his brother Harris in the heinous Peshawar massacre, on being elected as President of Oxford Union,” President Alvi wrote in his tweet on Sunday. “We must register that despite all setbacks Pakistan will keep on shining & rising,” he hoped.
