Waheed Khan Afridi assumed charge of new district emergency officer Khyber here on Thursday.
In this connection a simple gathering was organized in Rescue 1122 center, Jamrud in which the newly appointed emergency officer was received warmly by the staff members.
He examined the various sections of the center including control room and emergency vehicles and expressed his satisfaction over the professionalism of the Rescue workers.
Speaking on the occasion district emergency officer Waheed Khan Afridi said that motto of the Rescue 1122 to serve people in time of need therefore the Rescue workers should utilize all their energies to ease the natural or manmade disaster effectees.
It is the duty of Rescue 1122 to undertake measures to ensure public safety and healthcare by addressing different emergencies, he added.
He directed the workers to strictly follow the discipline and respond abruptly in time of emergency.
