Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter spokesperson Zahir Shah Turo has strongly condemned alleged violent incidents against Pashtuns vendors and businessmen in Sindh and asked the provincial government to provide adequate protection to the community across the province.
In a statement issued here on Friday PTI provincial secretary information and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Zahir Shah Turo criticized the provincial government of Sindh for its alleged silence over the ethnic tensions that led closures of different shops owned by Pashtuns at various cities of the province.
“The atrocities that are being perpetrated at the local level is a brazen conspiracy to spread anarchy and ethnic riots in the country,” he added.
He said there were reports that Sindh nationalists have attempted to shut down business of Pashtuns by using force, adding that Sindh government and all other major political parties should play thier due role in maintaining law and order situation.
Zahir Shah PTI said that the incidents of violence against Pashtuns in Sindh should be condemned on every platforms.
The Sindh government should take notice of these incidents and take steps to prevent such incidents, he said.
Mr Turo said that every Pakistani has a constitutional right to work in any part of the country and all those creating environment for ethnic violence must be stopped without wasting more time.
The Sindh government should take immediate steps to establish peace and prevent violent incidents against Pashtuns, he added.
