SSP Operations directs strict security plan for Muharram in Peshawar

In order to maintain law and order situation during Muharram, police held a special security meeting to devise a comprehensive security plan for Peshawar.
In this connection, a special meeting was held in Malik Muhammad Saad Shaheed Police Line with SSP Operation Lieutenant Commander (R) Kashif Aftab Abbasi in the chair.
The meeting was attended by all divisional SPs, SDPOs and other police officers, said a handout.
SSP Operations Lieutenant Commander (R) Kashif Aftab Abbasi clarified that all resources were being utilized to ensure the peaceful conduct of Muharram.
He also directed to re-audit the security of sensitive places and set up a security plan in the light of the recommendations, to keep the arms manufacturing factories and shops closed during Muharram.
It has been decided by the capital city police to ban the entry of Afghan refugees into the city, including all entrances and exits of the city.
