Unidentified gunmen shot dead a medicine wholesale dealer near PRC market at Malakand chowk. The relatives and traders placed the body on the road and blocked Mardan- Malakand road as a protest for four hours, police and local sources said. The sources said that an unidentified gunman entered the medical store located at Shaheen Plaza PRC market Malakand chowk located close to RPO, DPO and DC office.
Sources added that the unidentified gunman killed a medicine wholesale dealer identified as Imtiyaz Ali son of Fayaz Khan. Sources added that the killer escaped after committing the crime. City police station officials registered a case against the unknown killer on the complaint of deceased uncle Mohammad Aslam and started investigation.
Later on the relatives of the deceased and traders staged a protest rally and placed the body at Malakand chowk on Mardan-Malakand road.
The protest chanted slogans against Mardan police and demanded to provide security to the business community. The protester gives a 72 hours’ deadline to the police for the arrest of the killer. Later on after the assurance of police the protesters dispersed peacefully.
