JI submits motion against ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation in Swat

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Wednesday submitted an adjourned motion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly secretariat, drawing the attention of the speaker towards ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation in Swat Malakand division and other tribal districts.
JI parliamentary leader Inayatullah Khan submitted the motion.
Inayatullah Khan that a wave of unrest has once again visited the province and especially Malakand division and the former merged districts faced with severe law and order situation.
He said that target killing has increased and even the ruling party lawmaker of the KP Assembly was attacked by unknown assailants.
The incident of the martyrdom of four innocent people and the serious injury of the elected representative of the people in the attack of the armed men on Malik Liaquat Ali’s car has created a wave of concern among the people, he added.
“This adjournment motion should be approved for discussion in order to bring this very important public issue under discussion so that the real facts of the deteriorating law and order situation in the former tribal districts, including Swat and other districts of Malakand Division, should be presented to the nation,” he added.
