PESHAWAR
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter spokesperson and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Zahir Shah Toru has expressed grave concern over the alleged plan of the central government to impose a permanent ban on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s live speeches.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the provincial spokesperson accused the incumbent government of creating a new conspiracy against the PTI chairman and its central leadership, adding that the nation has decided to support Imran Khan for his real struggle against “imported government” and fully rejected its leadership in recently held by-elections in Karachi.
Zahir Shah Toru said that Imran Khan was the most popular and beloved politician of the country and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership were applying numerous tactics to sideline him from the mainstream political arena.
“The arrest of Imran Khan will create a complete political unrest across the country and will be considered the second major mistake of the PDM after gaining power through conspiracy,” he added.
He said that PDM has made all possible attempts to defame former Prime Minister Imran Khan but still he was a national hero and masses support his ideology and wanted to vote for PTI.
If the incumbent government made any attempt to arrest Imran Khan the whole country, workers and supporters would come to the streets, adding that the party workers have decided to provide a security cover to its party leader and all attempts to arrest him would be thwarted, he added.
