PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Monday reached the flood-hit area of Yarkhun in Upper Chitral to review relief activities and assist losses caused by the flash floods. The Chief Minister had an aerial view of the flood affected areas and was briefed in detail by the officers concerned on destruction caused by the flash floods in Yarkhun. A media report said the Chief Minister met with local flood affectees and listened to their complaints and demands at various points. The Chief Minister in his talks with the affectees said the government was standing by its people in this time of need adding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued extra funds to the Relief and Rehabilitation Department for the resettlement of the flood affectees.
