Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Mir Raza Uzgan has ordered action against non registered organizations and individuals involved in the district for donations collection in the name of flood victims. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, DC Nowshera Mir Raza Uzgan has said that several complaints have been launched on social media and that some individuals and unregistered organizations have established donation camps without acquiring permission from the district administration.
The provincial government has made certain rules and regulations for collecting donations for the flood victims and only registered and transparent organizations will be allowed to collect donations. Organizations that have a valid record of donation collection would be allowed to help flood-hit and collect donations from people, he added. Raza also clarifies that registered organizations are also required to take prior permission from the district administration before setting up donation camps
Any unregistered organization and ‘benami’ elements will not be allowed to cheat the rights of flood victims, he added.
He said that the district administration in the light of provincial government directives taking all possible efforts to facilitate flood-hit people and ensure availability of government aid to them in a transparent manner, he added.
