Power supply, roads repairing underway in Bahrian,Kalam areas: Amir Muqam

SWAT: Adviser to Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs and President of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Mir Muqam has said that work on the restoration of Bahrain, Kalam, Atroor roads have been initiated on an emergency basis, adding that Engineering Corps, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and National High Ways (NHA) have been engaged to this end. He said that concerned authorities have been directed to speed up thier rehabilitation measures to facilitate flood affected people of the areas. PML-N provincial president said that WAPDA has been directed to restore power supply and electricity up to Madain grid station has been restored. Amir Muqam who was visiting to different areas of Swat district to inspect the roads restoration work claimed that the central government was taking pragmatic measures to provide relief to flood-hit areas of the district. The central government has announced a compensation worth Rs10.1 million for the families a slain person died in the flood, he added. He said that PML-N led federal government has started the process to transfer Rs25,000 to flood victims and no stone would be left unturned in providing relief to people affected by heavy rains and floods in Swat and other parts of the Malakand division. Advisor to PM paid visits to Swat, Gashkor, Alamganj, Khwaja Khela, Asala, Fatehpur, and Madin Grid Station to inspect ongoing restoration works on the infrastructures. He also visited Bahrain and inspected the road maintenance work of FWO, NHA. DLP Report
