Cyber security, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation will be taught in institutes
PESHAWAR
An important meeting held here on Monday with provincial minister for science and information technology Atif Khan in the chair, reviewed progress so far made on projects of Information and Technology (IT) under his ministry.
Director General Sajid Hussain, Managing Director IT Board and other relevant officials attended the meeting. The forum was informed that at present, a number of IT projects worth millions of rupees are in final stages of completion across the province, especially in Peshawar and Mardan and a number of projects are ready for implementation.
It further informed that the department concerned was taking concrete steps to establish the Institute of Information Technology in Mardan and Peshawar, where modern science and information technology courses such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, data science, robotics and automation and virtual reality courses will be taught.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science and Information Technology, Food and Sports and Youth Affairs Atif Khan said “future of next generation belongs to science and technology and all available resources to be utilized to provide best opportunity in the field to youth of the province”.
Atif Khan directed the concerned authorities and said that the work on all science and information technology projects should be accelerated and they should be completed within the stipulated period.
He said that the KP government was working on various projects from which the youth of the province will benefit in a rich way.
Atif Khan also urged the youth to go ahead and take advantage of the projects already started by the provincial government, adding that the provincial government will provide them with all kinds of facilities to excel their skills and get benefits from the holistic TI market.
