Suspension and low pressure of gas has become order of the day and people are fed up from SSGCL regarding their lethargic attitude towards frequent complaints by the local residents

Scores of people from kandhkot and it’s surroundings recorded their protest demonstration against gas suspension and it’s low pressure here on Monday. Protesters namely Gulab Ali, Javed Ahmed, Zafarullah, Nanik Raam, mahendar kumar and others rallied from tower roundabout to press center where they chanted slogans against gas officials besides carrying kitchen utensils and play cards in their hands.
Talking to newsmen they told that suspension and low pressure of gas has become order of the day and people are fed up from SSGCL regarding their lethargic attitude towards frequent complaints by the local residents. They told despite paying bills on due date, they are also compelled to use fire wood or costly LPG cylinders for cooking purpose.
They complained due damaged and old supply lines as well as unannounced and artificial load shedding they have been facing several difficulties especially preparing breakfast for school children and employees class. On the other hand most of people are compelled to purchase food from restaurants on higher rates. Owing to consumption of spicy stuff, the children suffer from stomach diseases such as gaestro, diarrhea, vomiting, bloating, pain and others.
They further complainted supply to hotels and restaurants was better but the residential areas were getting zero pressure.
They warned that if the problem was not resolved the protest domain will be extended throughout kashmore and utility bills will not paid till resolution of the issue. Finally they dispersed peacefully.
It is pertinent to mention here that Malik and Nanik mohallahs are said to be the biggest residential area having the population of more than one lac persons has been facing severe hardships.
Whereas people are compelled to use LPG gas cylinders or firewood to fill the bellies of their children at heavy cost. On the other hand the lethergic and the pathetic attitude on the part of SSGCL management has further aggravated the situation.
