Ensuring peaceful environment for Mardan: RPO

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan range, Mohammad Ali Khan on Wednesday directed the police officers to improve their performance and ensure a peaceful environment. He expressed these views while chairing a high-level meeting regarding law and order and overall security in the Mardan region.
District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan Irfanullah, DPO Swabi Mohammad Shoaib, DPO Nowshera Mohammad Umar, DPO Charsada Sohail Khalid, DPO Mohmand Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed, SPs Investigation and all circle SDPOs attend the meeting. In the meeting, apart from a detailed discussion regarding law and order and overall security, the latest situations and events were also discussed.
RPO directed the police officers to improve their performance and ensure a peaceful environment for the people. He also issued orders to the officers to speed up operations to prevent various crimes, drug activities and to ensure the arrest of criminals.
He further said that the complaints made by the public should be dealt with immediately, timely and on the basis of justice, while filing of fake FIRs should be avoided.
RPO was informed during the briefing that 61 incidents of murder took place during the last month, in which 66 accused were arrested. In various operations, 13 motorcycles, one motor car and more than 70 lakh rupees in cash were recovered. 690 proclaimed offenders were arrested.
The Regional Police Officer expressed concern over the increase in the incidence of murders and attempted murders and directed all DPOs to devise strategies to prevent these crimes.
During the meeting, all the police officers were instructed that in view of the current situation in the country, the security should be tightened at all the police stations, checkpoints, offices, private and public institutions and the subordinate staff were instructed to tighten the security measures.
During the meeting, the performance of all circle DSPs was carefully reviewed. RPO directed all the police officers to maintain peace and protect lives, property of people and prevent crime in their respective areas.
“Perform your official duties in a very efficient manner so that the atmosphere of peace in the area is maintained and public trust in the police is maintained” RPO directed the officers.
