PESHAWAR
Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said that PDM has suffered an unprecedented defeat in the by-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that PTI chairman Imran Khan remained victorious on all National Assembly seats despite strong opposition.
“This is the victory of Imran Khan’s public narrative. Imran Khan would continue its struggle for real democracy and freedom,” he added.
He expressed these views during a press conference at the Information Cell Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Monday.
Mr Saif added that PTI was successful in spite of difficult conditions and strong opposition from the federal government.
“The People’s Party has taken advantage of the elections and buried the politics of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz,” he added.
The spokesperson of the provincial government Barrister Saif also alleged PPP for rigging in the by-elections in Karachi.
I congratulate the people of Pakistan, especially the PTI workers, on this historic victory. Despite the difficult political situation, strong opposition of the government PTI chairman won majority seats in the by-elections in KP, Punjab and Sindh, he added.
In response to a question, Barrister Saif said that the parties who do not accept the results should approach the relevant forum instead of allegations.
Barrister said the government should announce general elections as soon as possible, adding the incumbent government should not waste more time in holding the early and transparent elections.
