PESHAWAR: The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Amil Wali Khan has condemned gun attack on police mobile van that left at least six cops dead on Wednesday and demanded pragmatic steps to empower the force to combat the rising incidents of terrorism and protect themselves from attacks while performing their duties. Amil Wali Khan alleged the provincial government for failing to control the rising incidents of terrorist’s attacks on law enforcement agencies and people in different districts of the province. The martyrdom of six officers in the attack on the police mobile van in Lucky Marwat is a tragic incident, adding that police of the province rendered unprecedented sacrifices. Aimal Wali Khan accused the provincial government for managing their political affairs and oblivious to the sensitivity of the overall situation and deteriorated law and order situation across the province. Those who martyred in line of duty were the pride of the province and ANP stands firm against the terrorism and shared grief with the families of the victims, he added. DLP Report
