Seed of wheat distribute among farmers in Tirah valley

Seed of wheat was given away to farmers of Rajgal, Tirah valley on the last day aimed to make self-sufficient local growers in production of wheat.
In this connection a moot was organized in Tarkho kas that was attended by residents especially the farmer community, agriculture and forces officials.
Under the USAIDs economic recovery and development activity (ERDA) program and with support of Frontier Corp (North) approximately 1600 farmers received seed of wheat that would cultivate on 850 acre land.
The assistance was extended to rehabilitated residents of Tirah that would raise wheat cultivation in the valley.
As per the agriculture official because of the quality seed, certified by the agriculture department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,not only enhance farming activities in the area but would also make dwellers of Tirah valley to be self-reliant in grain production.
The local farmers lauded the noble initiative of a non-government organization and the forces for extending every possible aid to the recently returned displaced people of Tirah to improve their living standard.
