PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Gulam Ali on Sunday took notice of gas load-shedding in Peshawar and summoned General Manager (GM) Sui Gas and other relevant officials to Governor House Peshawar. According to an official statement, Governor KP Haji Gumal Ali has summoned GM Sui-Gas Peshawar after a number of complaints by the citizens of the provincial capital. He has said that gas availability should be ensured for the domestic consumers in the metropolitan area. It is pertinent to mention here that a surge in gas shortfall was witnessed in Peshawar which is proving to be troublesome for citizens in the last one week. As reported in several areas of the provincial capital, many families have been left freezing and hungry even in the start of cold weather. Most of the areas are without gas or are being supplied at very low pressure. Citizens have been forced by the interrupted supplies to buy expensive LPG cylinders or forced to use compressors for domestic use in the morning and evening cooking. DLP Report
